Usage: These cartridges are specially designed for drinking fountains, water coolers, water dispensers, and well water. They contain Fibredyne II media, which inhibits bacterial growth on the filter medium and reduces cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Fibredyne II is made of powdered activated carbon, which is combined with a cellulose-free synthetic fiber matrix in a special wet-forming process. Any unpleasant taste or odor in the water, as well as chlorine, is removed when the water flows through the filter medium. Fibredyne II also enables fine filtration, which captures particles as small as 0.2 micrometers (0.0002 mm).

The reduction of microorganisms is typically indicated in log levels. Each log level describes a tenfold reduction. The 2FC water filter has a Log 5 level, meaning a reduction from 100,000,000 microorganisms to 1,000. This corresponds to a reduction of 99.999%.
