The outer surface of the pan is painted, so we recommend removing the paint before using it for the first time. Some utensils are lacquered to prevent oxidation or loss of shine during storage, and the same is true for decorative products. It is essential to remove the varnish from such items before use. Please follow these instructions for removal:

1. Fill a large container with water and soak the pan you want to remove the varnish from.
2. Add one tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate per liter of water.
3. Place the container on the stove and let it simmer for 15 minutes. You will see the lacquer layer separate from the pan.
4. Wash the pan with soap and water, dry the interior with a clean cloth and, if you want to maintain the outer shine of the pan, use a specialized metal cleaning product.

If you notice any remaining varnish after the cleaning process, use a cloth soaked in acetone to remove it. Failure to remove all paint before using the pan may cause it to darken due to the heat of the oven.
